O valor agregado da manufatura representa a produção líquida do setor após subtrair os insumos intermediários da produção bruta. Este valor cresceu de $12,3 trilhões em 2013 para $14,2 trilhões em 2018, caindo brevemente durante os anos de pandemia 2019-2020, recuperando-se em grande parte até 2021 para $16,1 trilhões e atingindo $16,83 trilhões em 2024.

Quais são os maiores setores de manufatura?


Setores de Manufatura da UE (2024)

Na UE, alimentos, bebidas e produtos de tabaco é o maior setor com €1,08 trilhão em valor de produção (18% do total da manufatura da UE) em 2024. Os produtos farmacêuticos tiveram o melhor desempenho com crescimento de 12,4%, subindo de €234 bilhões para €263 bilhões, enquanto equipamentos elétricos registraram a queda mais acentuada de -8,7%. A produção manufatureira geral da UE caiu 1,9% em 2024, marcando o segundo ano consecutivo de declínio após uma breve recuperação pós-pandemia em 2021-2022. Veículos motorizados e equipamentos de transporte, o segundo maior setor, caiu 6,4% para €874 bilhões em meio aos desafios contínuos na indústria automotiva.
