Import as before

IMP, ART and GEF records, CSV or fixed width, picked up from SFTP or a mailbox. Project-specific column layouts are mapped during onboarding.

Parcels and freight

HVS32 writes one line per package with the package count, running number, packing type and dimensions. Once all lines of a delivery note are in, Cargoson books them as one shipment, say 5 EUR pallets and 8 cartons, with a parcel carrier or a forwarder, also as air, sea or rail freight, and compares the prices.

Labels print as usual

Directly to your network label printers, or as a label link back to the ERP for the warehouse team.

Return file in the same layout

Carrier, tracking number and ship date come back as a return record, per booking or at the daily cut-off.

Heidler's timeline for HVS32

July 2026

Heidler tells its customers in a published announcement that HVS32 will be replaced by a new platform, Heidler UNIFY.

Q2 2027

First customers are migrated to UNIFY. From this point, according to the same announcement, Heidler develops no new features for HVS32.

Q2 2028

Planned end of the migration phase. Heidler commits to support and security updates for HVS32 at least until then.

Cargoson: no migration project and nothing installed on your servers. You decide when to switch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Heidler commits to support and security updates for HVS32 at least until Q2 2028, the planned end of the migration to Heidler UNIFY. No new HVS32 features will be developed from Q2 2027. The announcement does not give a definitive end date, so plan with Q2 2028 as the earliest.

Heidler states that UNIFY launches as a self-hosted solution on Windows or in Linux containers. Cloud hosting is part of the Enterprise Plus bundle, and a SaaS version is planned for later. Cargoson runs only in the cloud, on AWS in Frankfurt.

Yes. We review your file layout and set Cargoson up during onboarding to read your HVS32 file (IMP, ART and GEF records, CSV or fixed width, based on the documented standard format) and to write the return file in the same layout. Project-specific columns are mapped as part of that. Send us your field list and we confirm within two working days.

We agree a switch date after reviewing your file interface, shipping workflows and printer connection. Carriers that Cargoson already integrates are available from day one. New carrier integrations follow, so you can switch in phases.

No. The file interface makes the switch easy because your ERP stays untouched. Later you can move to the Cargoson REST API or one of our ERP integrations, for example to show live freight prices in your ERP or book directly from an order. There is no deadline for that step.

According to Heidler's CTO interview, a gateway is intended to accept existing data formats for UNIFY. With Cargoson, we review your file layout and set up the processing during onboarding. Either way, your ERP export does not have to change.

That depends on when your ERP writes the lines. If it writes all package lines of a delivery note at once, Cargoson books the shipment and prints all labels in one go. If the lines only appear while packing, scan by scan, the file interface does not map one to one. The packing station then works from a shipment draft in Cargoson, and we settle that during onboarding before you switch.

In most cases yes. Cargoson prints to network label printers through PrintNode or returns the label to your ERP as a link. We check your printer setup as part of onboarding.

No. Cargoson is used by manufacturers and wholesalers for parcels, pallets, part loads and full truck loads as well as air, sea and rail freight. HVS32 sends one line per package. Cargoson combines the lines of one delivery note into one shipment and lets you compare parcel carriers and freight forwarders for it.

Yes. Each contracting entity gets its own account, group admins switch between them, and reports run per entity or across the group. 26 languages, multiple currencies.
